Q: I keep getting this prompt for something called Enhanced Login Security – what is this?
A: “This is a new feature we are offering to help improve the security of your Home Banking accounts. It will help prevent unauthorized access to your account. Once you’ve enrolled your computer, you won’t even know it’s there! “
Q: I’m trying to get into my Home Banking account and there’s this screen asking for an answer challenge questions. Why?
A: “Are you at a different computer than you usually use?”
If this is a different computer you will have to answer the challenge question to proceed. You can choose to enroll that computer once you have logged in if it’s one you will be using regularly.
A: “Are you using a different browser than you usually use?”
Enroll that browser if it’s one they will be using regularly.
A: “Have you recently deleted all your cookies?”
“You’ve also deleted the cookie that our security feature uses to recognize you.” You will have to re-enroll.”
Q:I often use a computer at the library to check my Home Banking banking account. Should I go ahead and enroll that computer so I don’t have to answer a challenge question each time?
A: “We recommend that you do not enroll a public computer. It is better to continue to answer the questions as a temporary login option.”
Q: I’ve gotten into my Home Banking account from another computer, and it’s not asking me for challenge questions as I expected. Why?
A: “Have we reset your password since the last time you logged in?”
• Resetting your password also unenrolls you from the security feature. You will need to enroll that computer again.
Q: I’m at a friend’s house and trying to get into my Home Banking account, and it’s asking me for answers to my challenge questions; but I can’t remember it! How do I get into Home Banking now?
A: “We can temporarily un-enroll you from the security feature, and then you can log into Home Banking without answering the challenge questions. Once you’re back at your regular computer, go to User Options, then Enhanced Login Security and re-enroll yourself in the feature, as well as go to Challenge Question Setup and set up your question and answer again.
Q: Why am I being asked to enroll my computer with this security feature?
A: “The Federal Reserve Board (FRB) has mandated all financial institutions that offer online banking products conform to a Multi Factor Authentication process. The purpose of this process is to reduce identity fraud and unauthorized access of online banking products.”
Q: If I dispose of a computer, or do not want to use Home Banking access any longer, what steps should I take to ensure my privacy with this feature?
A: “You should unenroll any computer that is being disposed of, or not used for Home Banking access any longer. Follow the steps below to unenroll from Enhanced Login Security.”
Unenroll a Computer/Browser
Step 1: User goes to Home Banking User Options - Enhanced Login Security.
Step 2: On the Enhanced Login Security screen, user selects the third radio button, and clicks on Submit.
Step 3: On the popup window, user clicks on OK. The Enhanced Login Security removes the cookie from the user’s browser and invalidates any others.
Step 4: A success screen displays!
