Jeff has worked for GROWMARK since 2008 and currently holds the position of Agronomy Business Operations Manager. He began serving on the IAA Credit Union board as a Director in 2014 and became Chairperson in September 2016. He previously served on the Asset/Liability Management Committee and currently serves as Chairperson on the Personnel and Nominating Committees. Jeff is originally from Cherry Valley, Illinois and began his career with the Illinois Agricultural Auditing Association in 2004. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Jeff states: "It is a pleasure to serve the Family of Companies and IAACU Members as part of the IAACU Board of Directors and it is an honor to hold the position of Board Chairperson.”
Dan Schlipmann has been employed by Illinois Farm Bureau since 2014 and currently serves as Field Support Director in the Member Services and Public Relations division. Prior to working for IFB, Dan worked at COUNTRY Financial in Corporate Human Resources and has been working for the IAA Family of Companies since 2004. Dan graduated from Illinois State University with degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, is a graduate of Leadership McLean County, and holds the Charted Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Dan has been involved as a youth baseball, basketball, and soccer coach and Cub Scout leader. Since 2005, Dan and his wife have coordinated and led the annual AIM at Melanoma Walk in Normal, IL to help raise awareness and funds towards melanoma cancer research. Dan appreciates the opportunity to serve on the IAACU Board and the Nominating Committee; as the IAACU provides an outstanding value, benefit, and service to its members!
Kristin joined COUNTRY Financial in 2000 and currently serves as Director of Total Rewards, Shared Services and Employee Relations. Prior to her current position, Kristin served as the Director of Agency Recruiting and Development, along with various other positions in Human Resources. Kristin was an active board member at Mclean County Center for Human Services from 2011-2016 and Board President in 2014. Kristin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Business from the University of Nebraska. She also holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation and is a graduate of COUNTRY Financial’s Leadership Development program. Kristin has served on the IAACU board since 2015 and currently serves as Secretary of the board.
Carl has been employed by COUNTRY Financial since July 2014. He is currently the Director of Vendor Management. He was elected as a Director on the IAACU Board in April 2017. A graduate of Fenwick High School, Carl also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. Over the past several years, Carl has actively volunteered to mentorship. He has coached several youth sports organizations, supported the COUNTRY Financial Leading and Learning program for underserved local H.S. students, and mentored college interns. Carl "is honored to be given the opportunity to serve as an IAACU Board Member, as the Credit Union continues to provide outstanding member benefits, supports financial literacy for youths and supports many local organizations and initiatives". Carl currently serves as the Board Treasurer and on the Asset Liability Management Committee.
John worked for Illinois Farm Bureau for 26 years, serving as News Service Director and Farm Information Web Editor in the News & Communications division. In 2016 he retired from Illinois Farm Bureau and is now active in his local community and church. He is currently Chairman of the Sangamon County Board of Review, member and former chair of the Sangamon Conservancy Trust board of directors, former chair of the Buffalo Hart Township Community Building board, and serves as an elder with the Buffalo Hart Presbyterian Church. John and his wife, Kathy, live on the family farm near Buffalo, IL in Sangamon County. John believes being a credit union member is a great way to build a secure financial future for your family through every stage of life.
Geneva joined the Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB) Family of Companies in 2005 and currently serves as IFB Controller. Before joining IFB, she held various accounting positions of increasing responsibility in public accounting for three years and worked for COUNTRY Financial in Corporate Tax . She presently serves as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Committee. Geneva holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Sean joined COUNTRY Financial in 1993 and currently serves as Agency Vice President, overseeing operations in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Prior to his current position, Sean served as Director of Agency Support, along with various other positions in agency; beginning his career with COUNTRY Financial as a Financial Representative. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and is an active member of the National Association of Financial Advisors and GAMA International (General Agency Management Association). He also holds his Chartered Financial Consultant designation, and is a graduate of COUNTRY Financial’s Leadership Development program. Sean is active in several community organizations within the Wisconsin, Kansas, and Quad Cities areas. After 24 years of outstanding service and assistance he has received as a customer at IAACU, Sean is now honored to be a member of their Board of Directors. Sean, and his wife Cindy, are very proud of their long term relationship with the IAA family of companies.
Tom Swearingen is the Director of Talent Management at GROWMARK, Inc. He started his professional life as an airline pilot in the US Airways system in 2000. Seeking a balance between his business and aviation interests, he began his GROWMARK career in 2004 as a Corporate Pilot. Tom assumed his first GROWMARK leadership role in June, 2009, as the Director of Flight Operations. After serving in various leadership positions within GROWMARK Human Resources, Tom was named the Director of Talent Management in May of 2017. Areas of responsibility include Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Flight Operations, and Corporate Travel. In addition to these duties, Tom is responsible for managing the corporate Business Continuity Plan, conducting corporate employee engagement surveys, and managing a financial wellness program for GROWMARK employees. Tom is a life-long learner, and has had the opportunity to share what he has learned by guest lecturing at Heartland Community College and Illinois State University on the subjects of critical thinking, leadership, and engagement. He has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University, with a minor in economics. Tom completed his Masters of Business Administration in 2012. He has had the pleasure of serving on the local Red Cross Board since 2013, and was named Board Chair in 2017. Tom is honored to be serving on the IAA Credit Union board, including the Asset Liability Management and Personnel committees.
Tom, his wife Lori, and their three children reside in Normal, Illinois. Tom enjoys watching his children compete in swim and soccer, and he coaches his son's baseball team during the summer.
Jacob grew up with three older brothers on a grain and livestock farm outside of Franklin, Illinois. In 2001, he graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Jacob started his career with Western FS in June 2001 as the Assistant Controller and continued in the same role after the merger with Lincoln Land FS in August 2001. In June 2004, he became the Controller of Lincoln Land FS and six months later he earned an M.B.A from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Jacob became the Director of IMS for GROWMARK in July of 2014. As Director of IMS, he is responsible for the development, marketing, training, installation, and support of all computer and information systems offered to GROWMARK member cooperatives, subsidiaries, retail divisions, and customers in the U.S. and Ontario, Canada. Jacob and his wife Victoria are the proud parents of four children and help with as many of their activities as possible. Jacob has also previously served on a local school board.
