About Our Art...
Becky Altic’s lifelong connection to her home state of Illinois, as well as the adventurous terrain she explores while hiking, is reflected in her landscape paintings. Often featuring strong, foreboding skies in contrast to the delicate beauty of fields, roadsides, and prairies, her aim is to celebrate the power, beauty, and tranquility of nature. It is in the sharing of these often overlooked details that she is able to convey what she feels are the simplest of treasures.
Becky was the Simulation Coordinator in the Nursing Intervention Lab at Illinois Wesleyan University. She retired from nursing in 2020, and began taking painting classes at McLean County Arts Center in 2022. She continues to take classes there and from local artist, Jeremy Langston. Becky has had three solo exhibitions recently, and has been in numerous juried exhibitions.

Becky's artwork will be on display in the IAA Credit Union main lobby at 808 IAA Drive, Bloomington, IL during the months of October, November, and December 2026.
